413- The Jews of Alexandria Egypt were expelled by Christian masses.

 

1165- The Rambam arrived in Yerushalayim and celebrated his arrival as a private Yom Tov. (See 4 Cheshvan).

 

1700- Rabbeinu Yehudah HaChasid built his shul in the old city of Yerushalayim. This became known as the Churvah .(See 8 Cheshvan).

 

1366- The King of Siciliy forbade decorating the outside of Shuls.

 

November 4, 1943- 100 Jews of Florence, Italy, were deported to extermination camps.

 

November 8, 1948- First census in Israel counts 712,000 Jews and 68,000 Arabs.
