November 3, 1878- Jews began to prepare the ground at Petach Tikva for a new settlement.

 

October 28, 1941- Dr. Erhard Wetzel, director of the Office of Racial Questions of the Ministry of Eastern Territories, suggested the introduction of gassing camps to deal with Jews in Latvia, Riga, Minsk and Belorussia.

 

October 28, 1941- 10,000 Jews of the Kovno ghetto were taken out for execution. The Nazis murdered them all in two days.

 

November 5, 1943- Jewish children under the age of 12 were taken from Shavl, Lithuania and executed.
