• Abstract:

  In his second epistle, the apostle John once again cautions his readers about the false teachings circulating in the congregations of Asia Minor.  This very brief letter appears to be sent to a specific assembly identified as "the chosen lady and her children" and encourages them to "walk according to [G-d's] commandments."  He warns his readers against letting false teachers into their homes and goes so far as to say that they should not even greet the false teachers.  Finally, he closes the letter by expressing his desire to come to them and speak with them face to face.
