Chapter Outline
The book of Habakkuk continues the pattern of historical and prophetic writings by the latter prophets of Israel. Written soon before the fall of Assyria and the rise of Babylon, Habakkuk informs us that G-d can use any nation He desires to accomplish His purposes, even utilizing a country as wicked as Babylon to punish Assyria's wickedness. Habakkuk tells us that, even amid war and tumult, "the righteous shall live by his faith."
