Chapter Outline
Written much later than the synoptic gospels, John delivers his account of the "good news" to persuade people to believe in Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel, and proclaim that Yeshua is G-d. John focuses on seven miraculous signs that Messiah performs to validate His authority and divinity to prove this point. In addition, the book contains Messiah's "I am" statements, His encounters with Nicodemus and the Samaritan woman, and additional details of His last Passover seder with His disciples. John concludes his book with Messiah and His disciples at the shore of the sea of Tiberius. John observes that there were many other things that Messiah did which, if they were written in detail, even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.
