Chapter Outline
The apostle John was given this, "the revelation of Messiah Yeshua," as both a message to seven congregations in Asia Minor and as a prophecy of what was yet to come when Messiah returned. The first three chapters are John's verbatim transcription of the words of Messiah to those seven congregations in which He alternately encourages, condemns, and corrects various behaviors they are exhibiting. John then uses highly symbolic language to picture G-d's coming judgment upon the wicked, Messiah's return and reign for a thousand years, and the creation of a new heaven and a new earth without sin, pain, suffering, or grief.
