The Passover

The message of Passover remains as powerful as ever. Freedom is won not on the battlefield but in the classroom and the home. Teach your children the history of freedom if you want them never to lose it.

וְכִי־יָגוּר אִתְּכֶם גֵּר וְעָשָׂה פֶסַח לַיהוָה כְּחֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח וּכְמִשְׁפָּטוֹ כֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה חֻקָּה אַחַת יִהְיֶה לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר וּלְאֶזְרַח הָאָרֶץ׃
And when a stranger who resides with you would offer a passover sacrifice to the LORD, he must offer it in accordance with the rules and rites of the passover sacrifice. There shall be one law for you, whether stranger or citizen of the country.

וְיֵלֵךְ לְפָנָיו בְּרוּחַ 2אֵלִיָּהוּ וּגְבוּרָתוֹ, לְהָשִׁיב לֵב אָבוֹת עַל בָּנִים, וְסוֹרְרִים אֶל תְּבוּנַת הַצַּדִּיקִים, לְהַכְשִׁיר עַם מוּכָן לַיהוה.
It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

The Passover lamb, the Messiah, was sacrificed for us, so let us celebrate the holiday - not with evil and wickedness, but with the utmost purity and truth.
