The Hebrew Word
הַאֲזִינוּ [ha'azinu] is a conjugation of the verb אָזַן [azan - Strong's #238]. It is a primitive root that means "to broaden out the ear (with the hand), that is, (by implication) to listen: - give (perceive by the) ear". The Tanakh uses this word 41 times in 41 verses.
